Lancaster Midtown Now on Google+

Posted in: Blog on

lmgoogleplus

Lancaster Midtown Apartments is now on Google Plus. Google plus is a social networking platform that is an amazing tool for human communication and so much more. This platform is a way to bring Google users into a “community” and give you a social experience you have never seen before, at your fingertips.

One of the main benefits of Lancaster being on Google+ is that residents, family/friends and vendors will be able to easily find the location. Once Google officially recognizes a business, it updates its maps systems which makes for a seamless GPS navigation.

With Google Plus, users can manipulate their circle to control what groups of people and what brands they receive information from, but there isn’t a guarantee that those brands or users will circle you. This is where the Communities feature comes into play. This feature allows groups to form around a particular topic or interest. You can also join the Communities feature as a brand, which you can’t do on Facebook. It allows you to interact with your potential customers, influencers, and people of that interest.

Another great feature that Google Plus offers is Hangouts. In these Hangouts, you can have group meetings, discussions, video chat, or demonstrations. This is great for companies because you can organize a panel discussion that explains to customers how to use your latest software, new rental communities you have built, or a new product that is coming out. You can then simply archive it and upload it to Youtube.

With Google Plus, a brand can post their information about hours, location and contact information. They can also add photos and videos, write posts, and allow users to write reviews on their brand. Another cool feature that Google Plus has integrated is Google Maps. Now users can get virtual directions to your location.

Lancaster Midtown has found utilizing Google Plus very useful. Users can get information about the community, view photos and videos, leave reviews about their living experience, and keep up to date with posts. Check us out at on new Google Plus Page and give us a follow.

At Grand at Polaris we hope that Google Plus will help us bring our community closer and be able to supply valuable information to residents in one place. Stay tuned for more updates.  Below you will find directions to our community from various locations throughout the city.

5 Amazing Tricks Every Apartment Renter Should Know

Posted in: Blog on

We all love learning little tricks that make our lives easier.  You probably have things lying around your apartment that can make things like organizing and cleaning a lot easier:

1. The first tip is simply Velcro your remotes to your coffee table.  Most people have more than one remote.  All you have to do is place a couple adhesive Velcro dots on the back of your remotes and to the sides of your coffee table.  Coffee tables tend to get cluttered quickly, and this will help keep you remotes organized and out of clutter and protect from losing it under the couch cushion.11
2. Next, you can hide a power strip in a drawer and keep your devices stored and charged at the same time.  To do this drill a small hole in the back of the drawer and feed the power cord through it.  You could put on in the table in your living room, or you could put in your nightstand.  Just make sure you don’t let devices charge too long or charge too many things because they can overheat.  Leave the drawer cracked a little bit and turn the strip off when you are not using it to keep the drawer from overheating and help circulate the inside.51
3. You can use wine holders to store your towels.  This is a great way to keep your towels out of the way and organized in your bathroom.  This is especially helpful when you don’t have closet or shelve space.  This trick looks and works great.31
4. This one is a favorite.  If you have an overcrowded closet you can put soda tabs on the tops of your hangers.  Just feed the part that hangs through the soda tab.  Now you have an extra hole to feed another hanger through.2-copy
5. Cell phones do not generally have very loud volume if you are trying to play music, or hear your alarm go off.  What you can do to boost the volume is place your phone in a glass cup to help amplify the volume.7

Independence Day, commonly know as the Fourth of July, a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of The Deceleration of Independence on July 4th, 1776. During this special day we associate the holiday with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, and ceremonies. We also celebrate the history, government and traditions of the United States, as Independence Day is the National Day of the United States.

Many events take place on this day, as one of the most famous is the gathering around fireworks! Fourth of July is no different in Lancaster. Fairfield County hosts an event every year to bring the community together for fun activities, parades and even a hot dog eating contest! Spice Up Your Space with a Spring Vibe

Posted in: Blog on

cute-colorful-spring-apartment-living-room-design-ideasThere are many ways to make an apartment feel like it has a spring vibe to it. We’ve collaborated on decorating options that you can utilize to refresh your space as the warm weather approaches. These 4 simple tips and tricks will provide your apartment with an affordable upgrade that will you and your visitors will love during the springtime. Let these ideas inspire you to make your apartment the ideal space this spring season.

Below are our favorite ideas to stylize your apartment for spring. Whether you have just moved into your apartment or have been a resident for numerous years, these fresh ideas will spruce up your rental community.

1. Gallery Display
• Use floating shelves to show off a collection of decorative objects and mementos. Stagger the shelves for a unique look. Add a spring feel to your shelves by placing scents of roses and other flowers on your display.

2. Paint Options
• If you can’t paint the walls in your apartment, paint your furniture. A new paint job on a bed frame or nightstand can be just as impactful as new color on the walls. The colors you choose will determine the look and feel you want. For the springtime warm colors like yellows, oranges and reds are highly suggested.

3. Plant Decorationssmall-apartment-decorating-ideas-pinterest

• Nothing says springtime like beautiful plants. Decorating your apartments with colorful flowers can revamp your apartment from winter darkness to a bright and pleasant spring. We suggest for the spring of 2014 the tulip, representing “consuming love” and “happy years”.

4. Floor Covering

• Most times the flooring that your have in your apartment is very plain and boring. To spice things up, use an extra large area rug to cover the floor and coordinate with your other décor.
